Plan B: aka "Life after the Work Thing stops interfering with the Life Thing"

Today's find:

Many colleges and universities offer free tuition for retired people.  The starting age for the programs vary, but some start at 60.  Today's find is Go-60, which is a program of Penn State University.  It is available at Main Campus and at the satellite campuses.  As always, the course offerings vary across campuses.  Links:

Some programs, such as Graphic Design, are only offered at Main Campus.

Road Trip - Bellefonte, PA; Penn's Cave; Jersey Shore, PA

Road trip to Centre County, PA

Touring around town........

Took the walking tour - historic houses

hills: up both sides of the town.

Wandering around the park:

Victorian (and other styles)

A trip to Jersey Shore, PA:
(why is the town called "Jersey Shore" ?. I suspect it's a large joke. It's next to a very large island in the west branch of the Susquehanna River, called "Long Island". So, if you cross the river from Long Island to the mainland, it should be called "Jersey Shore").

Penn's Cave.
(It's a cave - it's dark, not great for pictures).  Cave is 52 degrees, water is 38 degrees. No bats in summer - need to tour in winter to see the bat colony.  According to guide, white-nose bat disease does not affect bats in this cave - too much fresh air circulates.
